Careful What You Tweet

I have spent many a late night up watching and waiting for different things to occur on Twitter.

Ok, I have a bottle of water, some ginger ale and almonds – check. Let’s see how many followers do I have now? Who’s new? Lemme check their link. Should I follow them back? Might as well, they’re following me. Website’s nice.

I think I’ll tweet the website for them.

Oh no! Is this a PORN site? Shoot! Now all my followers will think I’m into porn! OMG!! Do you think they’ll unfollow me? I better go DM some of my key tweeps and tell them I’m not into porn.

Wait. That’ll sound really crazy.

Shoot! I already hit “send”. OMG~! Now she’s going to think I’m some kind of nut and she’s the coolest. Oh, man. What do I do now?

I better send out another tweet.

“Please do NOT click on the link in my last tweet. It turned out to be porn! Guess I should check further before tweeting! Sorry about that!”

There. Ok, now, that should be alright.

Oh no. I have an @reply saying they clicked on the link and I should check things out before I tweet them! They sound really peeved at me! What should I say back?

@replyback “Yes, you’re right, I should have checked that link further before tweeting it. I’m very sorry!”

Hope that does it. Oh, wait, what’s this? A message from the new follower tweep with the website asking what’s wrong with the website!

@newtweep “It’s a really nice site for those who like that kind of thing, but mine is a family feed. Hope u understand.”

Unfollowed.

Oh well, so now I have risked alienating my entire followship, DMd key people I respect with an oddball message and the twerson I was all worried about helping in the beginning is no longer even following me!
